BigBabyGucci, originally known as James Healy, was born on 13th August 1996, in Charlotte, North Carolina, the United States of America. His mother is a retired air force veteran and James Healy is the youngest of three brothers.
BigBabyGucci has claimed that he has attended more than fifteen schools in North Carolina. After that, he attended the Ashbrook High School in Gastonia, from where he also graduated. After graduating from high school at the age of eighteen, BigBabyGucci attended a college on a scholarship. However, he was expelled before he even completed his first year at the college.
BigBabyGucci became a fan of rap music when he was in middle school as he would listen to Kanye West and OutKast. He would also hide the music from his mother, who did not like his son listening to such music.

BigBabyGucci’s debut mixtape was named A F*cking Mixtape, on Soundcloud. This mixtape was released in 2016-17. The project was then renamed ART HOE Collection on Spotify and Apple Music streaming services.
In 2017-18, BigBabyGucci released his biggest ever project, named Romance Isn’t Dead. BigBabyGucci had teamed up with Blvc Svnd and the project even gained the attention of several famous blogs, including Lyrical Lemonade, and Daily Chiefers.
In 2019, BigBabyGucci released a mixtape titled Universe 2 in which he released improved versions of his previous songs.
