Born Walter Bruce Willis on the 19th of March 1955 in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany to Marlene, a banker from Kassel, Germany and David Willis, an American military officer, he is a retired American Actor who achieved fame with a leading role on the comedy-drama series Moonlighting.
Growing up, Willis had a younger sister, Florence, and two younger brothers, Robert (deceased) and David.
In 1957, their father was discharged from the military and they had to move to his hometown of Carneys Point, New Jersey where Bruce attended Penns Grove High School and his father worked as a welder, factory-worker and master-mechanic.
Bruce took the first step to becoming an actor at Penns Grove High School when he joined the drama club before becoming the students council president.
In 1973, Bruce graduated from High school, He enrolled in the Drama Program at Montclair State University, where he was cast in a production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He left school in 1977 and moved to New York City.

He won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy, and became the face of Seagram during the time which the show ran.
The success led to appearance in blockbusters which include Die Hard, Die Hard 2 and Die Hard with a Vengeance -all of which grossed $700million internationally and cemented Bruce’s standing as an A-List actor.
However, his career suffered a slump in the beginning of the ‘90s when he starred in movies that flopped such as The Bonfire of the Vanities in 1990 and Hudson Hawk in 1991.He tried to resuscitate the career with limited success in The Last Boy Scout and Striking Distance in 1993.

Bruce married actress Demi Moore whom he met at the premiere of the film Stakeout on the 21st of November 1987, and bore three daughters through her before their separation was announced on the 28th of June 1998.
Their divorce was eventually finalized on the 18th of October 2000.
Forward to 2004, Bruce was engaged to Brooke Burns but they only lasted ten months together, and on the 21st of March 2009, Bruce got married for the second time and this time to model Emma Heming who would later be known as Emma Heming Willis after a legal wedding six days later.
The union has produced two daughters.
