Born O’shea Jackson, Ice cube was born in South Central Los Angeles in the United States of America, he grew up in Van Wick Street in the Westmont section of Los Angeles. Ice Cube started writing raps when he was just in ninth grade and by the age of 16 he had already joined a rap group and he was performing already. He got the nickname “Ice Cube” from his elder brother who threatened to shove him into the refrigerator and only pull him out when he was already turned into an Ice Cube.
