Born Terence Thomas Kevin O’Leary, Kevin O’Leary was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is of Irish and Lebanese descent and because of his father’s Irish heritage, Kevin also holds an Irish National Passport. He grew up in the Town of Mount Royal, Quebec, however after his parent’s divorce and his father’s death, his mother remarried to George Kanawaty who worked with the United Nations, as a result of this he got to travel the word and live in many places while growing up, he lived in places like Cambodia, Ethiopia, Cyprus and so on.
His mother was a skilled investor and it can be said that he got his investment skills from his mom. One of the many lessons he got from his mother is to always save one third of his money.
