Tony Giarratana’s parents had come from Italy to the United States of America, through Ellis Island. Tony Giarratana grew up on the Gulf side of Florida. He used to spend a lot of time on the beach, skimming, and surfing. His first paid job was lawn-mowing.
Later, while he was attending the University of South Florida in Tampa, Tony Giarratana started working in commercial real estate. He graduated from the university with a degree in Business Administration.
After his graduation in 1977, he began working with Merrill Lynch Realty Rodgers and Cummings in the Tampa Bay area.
