Tyler Lepley was born on 24th March 1987, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, the United States of America. He was raised by his mother and his stepfather in Philadelphia. His mother, Jennifer Dinnis, is of Italian descent, whereas his father, Charles Dinnis, is of Jamaican descent.
Tyler Lepley enrolled at the Central Bucks High School West in Doylestown. He later said that he was being bullied at the school as he was the only biracial student in the school. During his time at high school, he played several sports, which include basketball and football.
As he got older, though, Tyler Lepley started focusing more on his football skills. In high school, Tyler Lepley played football under the name Tyler Dinnis. However, he got injured during a football game in June 2003, which almost spelled the end of his football career. He then had to undergo surgery.
Next year, Tyler Lepley was back to playing football. This time, he was playing for Villanova University where he was also selected as the MVP at a sports camp. Later, in 2010, Tyler Lepley graduated from Kutztown University with a degree in criminal justice.

Thus, the producer then invited Tyler Lepley to an audition, after which Tyler Lepley was given a lead role in a horror movie named Slumber Party Slaughter.
After being advised by his agent to pursue acting as a serious profession, Tyler Lepley started taking acting classes. Soon after that, he made his acting debut in an episode of The CW’s 90210.
Later, he also famously played the role of Benjamin ‘Benny’ Young in an American crime drama called The Haves and the Not Haves. Apart from that, he also appeared in an American comedy film called Baggage Claim, in 2013.
